Today we will be celebrating the work of the church around the world and hearing from a former missionary in the Church of the Nazarene, Myrna Dipert.
Myrna and her husband, Bob, spent 10 very fulfilling years in Lae, Papua New Guinea. Their initial assignment was to plant an English-speaking congregation in Lae, the second largest city in PNG. Huon Gulf Church of the Nazarene was planted and quickly grew to be a flagship congregation in Papua New Guinea.
Myrna has worked as an ER and ICU and Radiology Nurse for much of her career. In recent years, she has volunteered with DART and CALMAT to do Disaster relief during Covid. She was a part of the DART deployment with Samaritan’s Purse to Central Park in New York City at the beginning of Covid for 21 days in a tent ICU as well as other deployments.
Myrna has been the District NMI President for Canada West for 4 years and finds that to be an extension of her Missions Call. She maintains that Missions is her passion. Bob and Myrna have returned many times to PNG to assist and build. They have taken Nazarene Missions Teams around the world.
